Wooow man I must say you for sure did it right wow 👏. I'm currently changing out my Hydraulic fan boy it will be one happy day of my life. Its good to still see there are Ls lovers out there that are still keeping these cars alive. I wish all the Ls owners could come together and enjoy our cars together because I'm sure we all have put in a lot of work into them. They are great car beside the little issues these cars come with but if you know about cars and are handy with the hands then your ahead of the game with them. Other then that they are loads are fun to drive and hit the open road with. You did a great job man I just wanted to send you the credit that you deserve 👏 👏👏👏. Enjoy no more leaks and heat 💪😷👍

It would be nice if they had a static display of the motor, so you can see the things that are hard to see, especially the cooling system. OH yeah there is a Ford Show in OC Ca. at the Angels baseball stadium every April less Covid, all cars are grouped, so if there are alot of LS owners they would all be at the same place, the big three at the show Mustangs, Cobra's and 70's Bronco's. Great show free to get in, pay for parking. Plenty of restaurants for eating and drinking.

Yes,,still using it today. Hadnt had to do anything. I would order a spare temp sensor when you order the control module just for pace of mind ..if something were to fail those usually are the weak link.

I would also swap the thermo housing to a Jag aluminum version and you can now buy aluminum overflow tanks too which are a weak link in the cooling. What i do to top off the coolant..be sure to use the orange Ford brand they sell at Walmart..green will eat the plastics. Fill the overflow tank about half to 3/4..then fill the coolant at the thermostat housing till it wont hold any more. Put the cap on and start up the engine and let it get to operating temps...shut it off and let it cool down just enough to safely take the thermostat housing cap back off...add more coolant again if needed. Then start it up and turn the heat on full blast. let it get to reg engine temp..then give it gas to around 2k RPM for 2 minutes...let idle and do the bleeding proceedure. This should fix the cooling issues assuming you have no other leaks in the system.

Hello. I have a 2002 LS and I have got a 2004 LS electric fan and I also grab the alternator. Hooked it up with out a fan relay. Everything works but the 30 amp fuse I use keeps melting in like 5 min. I had to upgrade the alternator because the 2002 did not have enough amps. So what should I do. Hook up a relay or get a bigger fuse.

Sorry seen your post late. You have a 2002 v8?
@chrisn40513 жыл бұрын
Hook up relay you don't what to burn out your electric system. The fan is putting a heavy load on the fuse that's why it's burning it out. If you go bigger fuse you would be at risk of fire.

Anything that you have a high voltage best thing to do is hook up relay and even a breaker you always want to keep your vehicle safe from fire.
