@@oldnintendolink thank you for the reply. I hope you’re right. I’m only 19 year old, so I asked my dad for input on what would be a good car , because I don’t want to spend a 2 or 3 thousand Dollar and end up with some piece crap, like a Chevy cavalier. my dad told that he think Acura TL will be a reliable car and fun car. he is a big fan of early 2000s Honda/ Acura vehicles, also it is well maintained by the originally Owner with service records and no rust Also, it actually only has 127,000 miles, not 137. That was a typo in my original comment.

+itsmegp46 how has it treated you? im looking into buying one with 180K, not sure if I should because of the high mileage
@itsmegp468 жыл бұрын
+2007350ZHR Even though my car runs great with so many miles, it is a fifteen year old car with a lot of miles. So, buying one with that many miles is taking a huge risk no matter what car it is. This is a near luxury car and as such, maintenance can be fairly pricey. In addition, some normal wear items which should have been done may not have. Such as was the timing belt changed along with the water pump? If the timing belt snaps, goodbye engine. The five speed automatic was extremely troublesome, with a nearly 100% failure rate at some point. Mine was replaced at 34,000 miles. The service tech advised me to change the trannie fluid every 2 years or 24,000 miles. I've been doing this and so far no more transmission issues. I would suggest you try to find a newer but smaller car with a lot fewer miles.

+C Trey I don't get why you use D4. The transmission is automatic. Under normal driving conditions, street, highway, you should keep the gear shifter in D5. You get much better mileage, its quieter, less wear on the engine. Also, in D4, the transmission never locks out the torque converter at highway speeds.
