2000 RL in white. Bought from buddy who always took care of it at the dealer. About to install Bluetooth Sony radio head unit. With Bose audio it will be better than modern cars. MPG is garbage: 19 or 20 on average. Might as well drive a truck for that efficiency. AC electronic failure was the only real issue ever with this car, but fixed it easily with a manual toggle switch. 231,000 miles and going strong. It's barely broken in. Planning to drive it for another 800,000 miles at least

Did you have to replace the engine or transmission or just regular maintenance and any issues with smog?
@ambrosiohernandez28987 ай бұрын
@@DevonDavies-p7f I got the car with 167k miles. Original engine and transmission. Oil change every 4k miles and I only flushed the transmission fluid once. No issues with smog at all. I sold it to a junk yard after a couple years because my dad fried the computer when he tried to jump start another car. The instrument cluster didn’t work but the car finally gave out at around 249k miles. The transmission started slipping and reverse no longer worked. I love and still miss that car so much

@user-hk9pn1iy8g well I'm almost at 200,000 miles right now and it's really just been maintenance a few parts here and there like o2 sensor, alternator and fuel filter.

Before saying the negative of these cars I must say its rock solid reliablilty, I have one with 181,000 and it goes and goes and think i can get another 100k easy with maintenance, handling is good for a large car and has decent looks. Now for the bad. Seriuosly lacks power at all levels, ok it moves fine but try WOT and theres just nothing, fuel mileage for a V6 is terrible, my wife gets 13 mpg average, she never drives it on the freeway, seat controls are hard to use with door closed.

I like the 99 acura 3.5 rls my uncle bought one from my grandmother and the only problems are as follows. It has an overheating issue (we think it fixed its self) it wont drive without TCS on it wont even rev up unless its in park or N and right now there aint any brakes. the other day he was moving it and ran into a snow bank. Well im lying the drivers side back wheel will lock up if you slam on the brakes but there isn't much brake on it anyway. other than that just a few dents and dings. Oh and he says hes not putting any more money in it so its 60% mine 40% his. on my birthday its 63% mine and if I buy brakes and install them along with the birthday ill be 73% mine
