Fun fact: in Valera, Venezuela, 1972, a cow was in fact killed by a meteorite falling from space. Thanks to my time as an educator at the Cincinnati Observatory, I have been able to handle a piece of that meteorite on a number of occasions. Unfortunately, that piece is sealed in a plastic case, so I am unable to determine whether or not it tastes like beef.

Yes and no. The inside would be local space temp. However, the outside would be searing hot after going through the atmosphere, but after little while it'll be cold as hell again.
