Thank you, Your video was a big help and time saver. I live in Wisconsin, ground zero for use of road salt. I had to heat the hub flange where the 3 bolts thread into it. I was able to crack them loose like you did after that. My bolt heads were rusted so bad that where you used a 15mm socket on the 3 bolts, I used a 14mm socket because they were smaller once I cleaned the rust off. I ordered 3 new bolts at a cost of $17.12 each!!! I may never have to remove them again, but at least when I install them I will use a 15mm socket. 😁 Update, I just got the new bolts. A 15mm, 6 point socket is to big for these bolts. 14mm is to small. It turns out a 9/16" socket fits new clean bolts heads perfectly.

Having my passenger side done tomorrow at the shop, I don’t have much tools, no abs wires on that bearing? My backyard mechanics that I usually hire to do mechanic work don’t seem to want to do the bearing assembly lol that’s fine. It sure wore down my brand new winter tires :/ I did hear a noise to, I should have known it was the bearing, I thought it was just my brand new tires lol.

I did mine yesterday and had to beat the shit out of it and ended up using a air chisel to help remove it. 3 hours beating that thing and installation. If I worked at a shop I would have been fired.

no you would not of. yes shops do have a need to get things in and out but shops also understand that sometimes you just gotta beat on something for 3 hours to get it off. it happens. glad you got figured out!

my 2002 has the upper control arm bushings worn out the hub , tie rod ends , so I looked up the VIN code reader to find out the specs for parts and it comes up recalls after recalls on the suspension problems key fob programming, locked steering wheels which happened to me so I just banged lightly on the end of the key tip while holding the key turning slightly but make sure to spray the key hole a bunch of times it should turn but keep turning in and out cleaning the keys tumbler insides because the little follow guides get on stuck from the metal micro pieces jamming them full of the microscopic metal pieces gummed up .

I'm having one side done at a shop right now. Just happened to come loose right in front of the place and I had no clue what was going on. Plan to do the other side myself in a few weeks. This was very helpful. Thanks for the video. Is that clip for the caliper on a 1999 model? I put in a missing break pin a few weeks ago and I know it wasn't there.

If it was ABS,The wheel bearing would have had an abs cable on it to hook up.changed my driver side wheel bearing abt 5 months ago.gotta do the passenger side today.lol

Do you need to get an alignment after changing a hub assembly ?

No, You don't need an alignment but it would be a good idea to use a torque wrench when tightening the bolts.
