Honestly I thought it is too hard for me, and i'd rather be paying a couple hundreds of dollars for a mecanic instead of doing it myself.. "BTW i don' t have the required tools" - or that's what I've thought- A few days earlier I've found your channel, and I started to be interested, and to feel more confident too. I've inspected a car today(the Chrisfix way) and I've negotiated the price for almost the half of it. Hey Chris, you do good work and make it look easy. I'm right in the middle of a front end rebuild on a 2010 Toyota Sienna van. I started out with hand tools like you did but quickly figured out I needed more. I almost stripped one nut trying to break it loose with a long breaker bar. That's when I figured I needed at least a 1,000 ft lb impact wrench for this job. The prices put me off until I found a 1,180 ft lb Beswell 1/2" impact wrench on Amazon for $39.95. Man! The difference is like day and night! Can't believe I waited this long. I highly recommend that you don't frustrate yourself trying to break loose old rusted bolts. Just go get the impact wrench. It'll pay for itself many times over and you'll be drinking a beer instead of laying under a car cussing.

hey Chris, i recently moved from Canada to Australia (Alberta to Western Australia.) and noticed some very interesting things while working on cars here at home. Stores do not rent tools out here and finding the right tool is really rare if not online. It is also common for shops to refuse pressing out and replacing ball joints and bushings out of control arms and knuckles here if you do not go with their service for the whole job (found a shop that replaced 2 Honda compliance bushings for me for $143 AUD and was refused by many shops before that.) It also shocked me a bit when I found out that Scrap yards are over here are so different than North America, its not like free roam style where you go around and find and pick your parts. You can't usually go in and see what is there, they ask what part you want and they will run in and pull it off for you and the only way to find out is to call them individually and try to explain what part over phone, it is always a huge headache. I just thought I would type this to share my experiences in the difference between what it feels like to work on cars in North America compared to Australia.
