It's not that hard to do, if you can change oil, you can do this.

awesome, do you have a way to get a stuck, coil pack robber boot out of the oil tube?
@albdabs71010 ай бұрын
My best method was a flathead and the valve cover facing straight down and hitting it with some force like pliers since I didn’t have a hammer, a good couple hits and the gaskets came out ez

Buddy, my spark plug cylinder oring gaskets are hard as rocks and they won’t come out. I’m using my picks and now I’ve put the valve cover in the freezer to try and get them out. Any suggestions if this doesn’t work?

As it turned out the old spark Plug well gaskets from my prior purchase had metal rings in them. It was confusing because the new ones were just solid rubber. I had to use a flat screwdriver to knock them out, then everything became easy. You have to go in from the top side of the hole and then catch the lip of the ring and hit the screwdriver with a hammer with a good tap to know out the metal ring. Then the cleaning was easy also.

I also must have raised the plenum too high because I cracked the large hose coming off the air filter housing. My car would drop idle when the car warmed up. It took me a a couple of Saturday’s to finally figure out the problem. Be careful when using this technique.

I wonder if this trick can be used to clean the EGR passageway, both in the upper intake manifold and the one going towards the EGR valve without having to remove everything from the car.

Does the variable timing valves go bad if so does it make it misfire? And can you change the bad variable valve without taking off the head? Thanks for the valve cover adjustment.

Put grease on the outside of them as well as in the slots on the valve cover. Also out the seals in the freezer for 12 hours to shrink them down a little to help get them in especially if they are aftermarket seals and it from Honda

Hey man great video! Has helped me through the whole replacement. The only question I have is when putting head gasket cover back on do you need a torque wrench or can you use the same socket wrench you used to take it off?
@bundysgarage4 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching. I just use the same ratchet and socket and stop when the bolts bottom out. There is a torque spec of like 7 foot pounds but find it too weak and the valve cover gasket will start leaking oil after a few hundred miles.
