In 96 my parents bought a brand new 5spd cx civic hatchback from the dealership, the following year my dad died. My mom made me sell my motorcyle and gave me the hatch, i literally had to make my own exhaust and intake. There wasn't a exhaust manifold available at the moment for the cx/dx model so i had to wait until a wrecked ex showed up at the local pic'n'pull. I ordered RSR springs and tokiko illumina shocks and asked my local tuner shop for stock type-r strut tower braces. Sadly in 98 the car was stolen and it was never recovered, since then i had owned 3 ef hatches, a 89 da integra, a 98 ek lx and a 90 crx si. I been building and tuning honda' s for a good portion of my life and that's not including toyotas and a european ford😅

Ek hatch was my first car. Slammed it on skunk 2 springs. I even bought a b16 for it but I eventually totaled it

Special EK. I think for me personally I would’ve gone with a B16B for awesome OEM. Takes me back. But I do like the K series in it

Honda moved to the K's in large sizes because the cars were getting heavier, and they needed more torque. You'll notice torque simply increasing displacement by .2 liters. So if you had a 1.8 and switch to a 2.4 it feels like a V8. Granted a turbo makes a big difference in torque. But this is one of the lightest models so the torque can be wasted at the tires. Larger wheels/wider wheels help lay it down a lot better.

For k swap u have to use EG/DC subframe the trans will have no clearance on the ek subframe and it will hit
