2000 mile review of 2024 ktm 350 excf and all the mods

Thanks Ray. Ive been looking for a lighter dual sport and had my eye on the 350. I also like to tinker. As ive gotten older my riding has changed from Baja fast desert to tighter trails where coming off is funny, not broken. Thank you for the detailed explainations for the various changes you've made, if i get one this will be a huge help!

I can't believe your tail assembly stayed in 1 piece - I broke mine off the first ride. I'm pretty much stock and don't have many changes planned. The bike is pretty awesome. Good maintenance and some better tires eventually. Oh and a new brake/ blinker/ plate setup lol

@@crjmoto yea, my tool bag weighs 8lb. I ordered a front fender GL tool bag, want to take weight off the rear fender. 8lb may not seem like much but going over rocks and technical terrain, only a matter of time before rear fender breaks. The saddle bags weight is distributed differently but the tool bag is directly on the fender. And yes the bike is awesome as it is, just needs better tires, anything slightly wet and they suck.

Thank you Ray. Always enjoy and learn a lot from your hard work. Is the FuelX still on the 890? I lost cruise control with it…. Still using though. Also during the winter I like the bigger luggage so I can have my heavy cold gear if I need it. Would love to see a vid with you gear setup with the Krieger.

@@atticushexcel9567 thanks. Yes i still have the fuelX on the 890. I haven’t lost cruise control. Did you make any other changes to the 890? I’ll do a video of the kriega and my gear for you. I don’t ride in the cold much anymore though.

@@rayrokni No other changes. I might need to take it off and schedule a service. I never liked cruise it did weird things.

@ I have seen other cases where cruise stopped working, does it throw up any engine error codes? Dids you put Rottweiler canister delete dongle? On my old 890, the dongle kept going bad and once that happens the cruise would stop working. Basically any engine error code stops the cruise control from functioning.

@@rayrokni I used the other companies dongle - can't remember the name right now.

Just noticed that your fork bleeders are to the rear. The manual and my bike have them to the front of the fork.

@@neal0593 you can turn the forks however you want, on my 890 they are to the front on the 350 i put them to the rear, easier to get to. Makes no difference to the fork’s function
