Truely skilled bowlers with knowledgeable commentary. The game was great to watch back then

I've bowled with these pins before and they're no joke. These were known as the test pins but my friend calls them golden logs. They're a pound and a few ounces heavier (3 pounds 10 ounces) than a conventional wood pin (3 pounds 4 ounces) such as the AMFLite or the original Brunswick Max. After playing a couple games with these, pin carry was not so good for me, particularly 10 pins, but I was using 14 lbs, never wanted to bowl on them again. Unless you are a high rev player or a two hander, getting strikes isn't easy on these bad boys.

They were a little heavier. About 6 or so ounces. And the PBA was struggling for viewership so it was an eye catching feature. The announcers sure didn't help. Yuck. 🤮

What an amazing night this was. After helping move bleachers after the show, I sat down and heard Dan Rather talk about how hot Laredo, Texas parking lots are in the middle of the summer. He was speaking of a certain election that night. Having been there the whole week, and during the show, I can help answer questions about what happened here.

I'm very disappointed that the narrators didn't show the scores of each game as it was being played for each frame. Either that or the person who showed this video didn't show it the way that other people who showed the videos did.
