2000 Plymouth Voyager at U-Pull Salvage Yard in Minnesota

Recorded 08/11/2024 at U-Pull-R-Parts in East Bethel, Minnesota.
Yes, it is a Plymouth Voyager, not a Chrysler Voyager. I did some reading and I guess they made both at the end there. I was unaware of that until today!
Anyway, this 2000 Plymouth Voyager has a full custom paint job on it which I love. It is a bit rusty however. Its only got about 140k miles on the clock.
Unfortunately Becky, the prior owner appears to have passed away. Hopefully we can help by letting their van live on in spirit and keeping a few bits from it. :)

From what I read on Wikipedia about the late-era Plymouth and Chrysler Voyagers in the U.S. and Canadian models, the Plymouth to Chrysler transition on the Voyager occured around December 1999 when the last remaining production run of the Voyager minivans began to be badged as a Chrysler Voyager and continued production through mid-2000 (the fourth generation Chrysler/Dodge minivans were later introduced in July 2000 as a 2001 model year). This Voyager was manufactored in October 1999, so this was two months before the Plymouth to Chrysler transition. I'm also sad to hear about the previous owner's passing.

So this one just scraped by with the plymouth voyager name!!

Whats funny about that is they were definitely switching off of Plymouth in 2000 as well because Ive seen plenty 2000 Plymouth Voyager minivans... which is what threw me for a loop here haha

Maybe it wasn't fully shut...but that's the first time I've seen the hatch on one of these so rotted you can see outside from the inside. Yard worker's mom maybe? Every vehicle in the yard has a story to it.

In Europe and Canada they sold those vans as Chryslers I think.

No, Plymouth Voyager existed until 2000. Then DaimlerChrysler killed the Plymouth brand after the 2000 model year

@davinp from what I was reading after this, they were phasing it out during 2000 which is why you see 2000 Chrysler Voyagers as well. Actually it's what I've only seen until now haha
