I subscribed because I am all for supporting new enthusiast channels that work on cars I dig (Doug Demuro, Hoovie, and Tavarish fan from the very beginning). I am a longtime Lexus guy, and have always wanted an SC430. This is a fun auction build. Disagree with the wrap, btw-- prefer a quality paint job (Lexus Pearl White OEM is expensive, but superb). Good luck with the channel!

Thank you so much for the sub and the comment! Yeah I agree, can’t beat it for $2,000, once we get this thing all fixed up it’ll be sweet, I’ve always liked these 430s too! I love a clean OEM look also but I’m not a painter by any means so wrapping is the cheapest and best looking way for me to upgrade the look. This paint is pretty trashed and it’d probably cost me thousands to get a quality paint job vs a $500 wrap I do myself. Thanks again🤙🏼

@@Atlanticbeachcustoms Totally true. If you can wrap it yourself, that's awesome. If you like working on this one, maybe try a 1st-gen SC300 project? It is basically a 90's Supra in a tuxedo. They were even available with a stick as well, but those are very hard to find. Coolest door hinges ever. God luck with this one, and I look forward to more updates!

Nice SC! I had the same brake issue on a Charger Pursuit, it was internally collapsed brake hose. Could not tell by looking at it. It pissed me off for 3 days, till I finally changed the brake hose. Nice garage as well!

Hey, I had a sticking brake /hard to turn low speed problem on my dad’s 2002 Altima. Both front brakes were seized. I thought the ABS was an issue but it was simpler than that. It was the brake hoses. I see that you changed everything but the brake hoses. They get clogged when the car gets old and don’t release fluid properly. Try that first.

Fellow lexus owner only mines an LS not an SC but I still think these are really cool vehicles. I'd love to see you do something with the tailights I know the slightly newer ones came with LEDS.

Yeah I love the newer taillights! I’m trying something out to kind of freshen up the look of these but if it doesn’t look I might consider upgrading to the next gen taillights

not gonna lie - I would have liked to see this painted (the fender) and cleaned up first. I don't have anything against a wrap but more of an OEM+ kinda guy.... The wheels look nice and I'm down with de-badging always....

Yeah I gotcha, replacing/fixing up the original paint would end up costing me wayyyy more than it would to replace the fender and wrap the car. My area of expertise is in wraps so that’s how I can transform these cars and save money doing so. Excited to show you how it’s going to turn out!

Wow are you serious?! Yeah that’s pretty crazy that is the price of the car😂 I ended up getting a bottom seat replacement for the passenger seat and it looks almost brand new and only cost $135😄

That’s very smart, I think I’ll have mine done immediately too just in case! Yeah I’m hoping the problems are minimal, but I’m just going to plan on the worst and hope for the best. It will all be worth it when I can take it out on its first sunset cruise😎

Thanks! Yep started with an estimated cost and am still staying under what I budgeted for it but I’m getting close to the max😂 After this video I think I’m about $100-$200 away from hitting my hopeful max budget to spend. I’ll go over all the costs but if all goes to plan still I should make at least a few thousand dollars. The joy of getting it for $2,000 is you can expect problems😂
