The Eureka total beat all the other vacuums. Simple designs seem to work better on big messes.

Miele went downhill with the U1. The S7 had much more airflow in carpet mode than the U1. I still can’t justify the 600 dollar price tag for such an under performing machine. The Dyson Ball animal 2 is 400 dollars which is 200 dollars cheaper for a much better vacuum.

I can agree, the s7 had an 1800w motor, u1 is 1200w
