My childhood consisted of watching things like this. Total nostalgia rush. Thanks, IMSA!

Loving these throwbacks. I was only 9 at the time and was unaware of endurance racing and such. I was only a kid who was into NASCAR. So these throwbacks are my first time viewing these races. Especially enjoyed the last throw back at mosport park as it is around where I grew up. Cheers guys. Gonna enjoy this.

2:41 - GRAN TURISMO 2 NOSTALGIA! Also weren't the AGT spec cars the then-current Trans-Am spec cars? I didn't know they ever competed in Grand-Am!
@TechSalvager6 жыл бұрын
until around 2002 or so there were a few classes in Grand AM racing that eventually were shoved out and Grand Am became DP and GT cars only
@doctorfunkopolis73116 жыл бұрын
AGT was absolutely just Trans Am.

I've never seen actual footage of this car running. I wondered for the longest time where it was buried.
@Tiptoetherat6 жыл бұрын
Yup, Trans Am type cars had been racing in IMSA for years as GTO and GTS1 cars, this class (AGT) was the end of that era.

He was a co owner and driver. His bosses in entertainment eventually got him to stop racing. He Borcheller and the car were very fast but it had a propensity to catch fire burning to the ground at Road America

Wish they would get rid of the chicane but great track nonetheless.
@nissangtpzx-t95295 жыл бұрын
The current chicane has been redesigned, starting from the foot of the Back Straight - a better flow for the track IMO + allows for an extra overtaking spot on a track which doesn't have many.
