I'm still not sure how the MIA McLaren didn't get a penalty for changing lanes before the start line.

Man... #96 Thomas was extremely unlucky there. Not only did he lose his podium for a 2nd place when it's just 1min35sec left, but had he only let the car roll for 5 feet more he would've been able to continue driving and finish the race. What a blow.

Go back to gran Turismo please. If it wasn’t children racing it may be great. Having to sit around on yellow because some 17 year old can’t drive yet is a joke. I am in shock at the video game drivers they let behind the wheel now. Good thing it’s near impossible to kill someone in these heavily restricted 200 point safety regulated cars.

Adding 65 grand for a roll cage install, fire suppression, racing seat? I hope there is something I`m missing like maybe electronics and carbon brakes for the cost bump.I`m just wondering what the upgrades are that justifies 140 grand price.

Nice coverage by the commentator ,giving us lap times for fastest lap. It`s amazing that they omit this information in some series.Glad the IMSA will broadcast for YT.

🙏🏼Finally back to real racing. Of the 60 cars I’ve owned 2 were auto.(double clutch non optional) But not an optional 4/5/6 speed. We have been watching vintage racing at the shop, writing IMSA for years about this very need. We run Manual only road racing weekly here. It’s the only way. Thanks guys. We here at the garage are happy you went this route after the long wait. 🏁 👍

How did they not see the initial accident at 30:22 on their monitors. I know they have at least 5 and one is the broadcast we see. It took 26 seconds to get the yellow out. Yikes 🏁

I think one thing everyone missed about the 10/31 incident with an hour to go is the fact that the 31 hits the curb on the inside. If you watch the onboard at 4:16:50, you can clearly see the Cadillac hit the curb and bounce up into the Acura. The Acura was pinching really hard into the corner as well, which gave the 31 little room on the inside. I think the no penalty call from race control was a good call, as it was just a racing incident from my POV. The Acura left just enough room for the 31 to make it, but at the same time it was such a small hole that it left the 31 little to no room for error.

I love your race commentary (John and Shea), but it's always different when you're not at the track, but in Charlotte. I wish the budget allowed you to broadcast come from the track. .

I don't blame IMSA on this, they race in the rain all the time, I blame F1. The teams seemingly weren't allowed to setup in the pits like they would have at any other race to be prepared for green flag tire swaps. They announced that the pits belonged to F1. This was an insult to racing

The only thing missing from putting Opalski in the back of the Explorer was putting him in cuffs, first. Maybe it only looked like he accelerated through the grass because the others were braking. Seemed strange.

he got knocked off the track by the dark green/orange car, could have made his foot slip or braking with two wheels on the grass can make the ABS weird out

What was even the point of holding the race past the red flag point? Absolutely atrocious handling by Race Control. Red flagging the race to force everyone on to wet weather tires is such a NASCAR call, and it shows. Just declare it wet and let everyone choose from there. You don't need to waste the time of production, fans, teams, and drivers. I've never heard John sound so dejected, probably - no pun intended - a bit under the weather if I had to guess?
