No, that is the way they go in and if your not sure, always look at the old ones on how they are installed.

@@RodsshopOrg Well you may want to research that again. I’d hate to see those leak on you. Also, the torque is 56 inch pounds on those bolts. Not trying to beat up on you, just trying to inform.

@@doctorwu1303 I got the torque specs straight out of the book and the seals are not in backwards. I am not sure where you are getting your info, but I do now that Toyota is notorious for having 50 flavors for the same part and specs. You can see in the video, that the seals went in the exact way the old seals came out, unless you think that Toyota put them in backwards. I have a Toyota service manual for that truck that gave the torque specs. I mean we can argue this all day long but all I can do is read specs from a book that was made for a specific vehicle, and I have out in 100's of spark plug tube seals and that is the way they go on. You want the seal that directions so that pressure from the engine doesn't blow past the seal. The direction you would have it, would cause it not to seal. Think about it, do you put crank or wheel seals in with the garter spring out? No, this seal doesn't have a garter spring, but the rubber is the same direction. And, if you know everything and know how to do this like you are indicating, why are you watching the video? I do not watch videos on stuff I already know how to do.
