I have the Quick Pitch Weathershade on my camper trailer and the AluCab Shadowawn on my Prado and I won't go back to a 270 degree awing that needs legs. Yes, they are expensive, but before I bought the Quick Pitch awning, I had the Drifta Rapid Wing and the first time I opened it the wind blew it over my camper, snapping the cheap plastic parts of the swing mechanism. Being able to have a campsite free of poles and ropes and not needing to bash pegs into the ground 90% is a real winner and part of my KISS camping philosophy.

Value for money it's hard to go past just a standard awning which ultimately would suit majority of the market. The Bush company 270 is the beez neez though.

There did seem to be a little more effervescence in the Bush Company one, so hard to ignore a bit of unconscious bias going on - all in all, a cracking 270 degree awning under any test environment

Can you do a comparison with the Rhino Rack 270 awning as I feel you're not comparing apples with apples...

The rhino rack has poles as well. So the reviews I have seen they take a while to set up. I think Ronny did a review a while back of how long various awnings took. The rhino didn’t fair well

While the 270 awnings are super fast to set up and give more shade, they aren't exactly designed to add an annexe to. That is the one thing that really keeps me from wanting one.

Hey Harry. I know you're not bush company. But do you reckon it could go on a dual cab ute that does not have a canopy? Looking at other awnings that aren't standard pull out and the only fit by the looks is a 180.

Without a canopy it would look really weird and they also weigh a decent amount and pivot off the back corner do you'd have to build a frame of sorts to support it. Have seen it done but had a pretty decent frame on the back of the tub in place of the canopy. Even a canopy would struggle I'd say. Best thing to do is call bush company and ask 👍

I have a 30second awning on a dual cab rodeo. Bolted to a Yakima tradie rack. You want something solid to bolt it to.

Put on verses race. Jump in your rig and drive legal speed to a designated spot set up awning and make a cup of coffee. Tear down and drive to the next spot build a fire and drink a beer in a chair.

@@harryfisher139 I would like to see someone come up with an awning that doesn't need to be permanently mounted. So many people are driving around with awnings that probably get used twice a year. I guess the answer is probably a tarp and poles and longer setup

That's just shit! Took you over twice as long to put it away than it did to set it up!! Haha . . . . . Yeah nah nah 😜😂🤣 The bush company's would be the way to go for sure . . . . if you can save up the bikkies! Done a fair bit of research on 270's for a while now and I'm definitely sold on one of them. The shitty king's awning (tho not bad bang for $) is just rubbish and that style is just hard work to put up and down. So much so, that it rarely gets used at all and the material is crappy too - feel like I'm getting less sunburnt out in the sun 😜 I reckon bush company's sponsorship just paid for itself cos I'm sold for sure . . . . Soon my pretty 😎😜👍👌 Keep em comin hazzo!
