High mutation chance lags the game more, so avoid it. Also, you can try to change the planet settings to see interesting creatures. I reccommend increasing the ocean level to turn the continent into a bunch of islands.

I’ll make sure to mess with those setting if the creatures haven’t changed in a while! Also what would be the highest mutation rate that wouldn’t cause much lag?

@@HeTheLyon That really depends. The reason it causes so much lag is because it creates so many unique species the game keeps track of, so simply having a good computer will offset it. It seems that keeping it around the base 5-10% is good enough.
