I believe you should be going for .006" on the rod bolts... They never said ARP2000(220kpsi) on the head, I beam Ultra rods come with a severe duty bolt 260 Kpsi..... with an upgrade optoin to the Custom age bolt which is the 625 number from memory.. IMO, you should confirm bolt stretch required with Callies, they make the Rods, they Know the Bolt,they have done the testing..

Spec is .0055-.0065 I trq them to have .0055” stretch within spec it took 25lbs and then 89lbs that was my final sequence

In video you said 85lbs, bit over .0005", good to see you went more... u were not between .0055"&.0065"@@georges8secpony

@@drcolster yes it was .0052 at 85lbs I went to 89-90lbs it game me .0055-.0057 ., on my snap on digital trq wrench and the arp stretch gauge … I did every single rod bolt

Rod bolt failure can be from Incorrect Stretch...
@georges8secpony
@georges8secpony 6 ай бұрын
Or just material failure… a friend racer just lost a rod bolt snapped ., from a very very reputable shop in the USA and it had Callie’s enforcer rods … I have seen friends brand new engines from again reputable USA shops 2 engines Oliver rods in the burnout box ., I know because I repaired those engines … material can fail it’s not always the builders fault …

@@georges8secpony If L19 bolts, there are many questions to ask.. the handling of bolts is critical. washing, touching, fitting... Obviously the torquing/ strech is a major factor...
