i live in new zealand and im currently saving up for the x100v...this video just 100% solidified me buying the camera because the photos are just *chefs kiss*. hope you enjoyed your holiday here in aotearoa!
@JayRegular Жыл бұрын
Just make sure you don't buy it for the current inflated price and you find it around the RRP! A few of the photos were taken on the xt4 with zoom lenses, but my most favourite photos were all off the x100v, I just love the natural look to the 35mm fov

@@JayRegular Its currently AUD$2000. How much is it in NZ? What would you recommend the correct price to purchase it is?
@JayRegular Жыл бұрын
When it was first released in 2020 it was AUD$1400 so unless you can find a used one for that price today, I wouldn't really spend an extra 600 for it...

Hey Jay! Really amazing journey and great work either in videography or photography. Very enjoyable to watch... :-) Are you using a pro mist or glimmer glass filter by the way? Cheers!
@JayRegular Жыл бұрын
Thanks Kamil. Yes, I did use a mist filter 😁 love the softness it delivers
@firstMillo Жыл бұрын
Cool! Yeah it really gives a smoother look. I consider the Tiffen Glimmerglass 1... As I see your stunning landscape shots: Did you ever consider the wide conversion lens for your X100V? I am still not sure if I should spend the money because I sold my X-S10 so it might become a valuable companion for my "lonely" camera :-)
@JayRegular Жыл бұрын
No I haven't tried the wide conversion for the x100v, I'm on the fence about it. I bought the x100v because I didn't want to think about changing lenses, buying a wide adapter makes decision making harder 🤣
@firstMillo Жыл бұрын
Hehe, that's exactly the reason why I kept the X100V only and did not pull the trigger on the WCL yet :-P And then the price of course...

Hi Jay. I enjoyed your video on those settings for Fuji. Saw your vids on xs10 primarily as I'm thinking of getting one myself. Just wanting to ask, as a beginner I havent fully done much of street photography and would like to start one with Fuji. I was from Sony rx100. Envy that you got x100v, as it is out of stock, was thinking of xs10s or xt30ii. Could you recommend? I'd like to bring a camera for travelling, photos and some video too. Thanks! Ps. What did you record this video with, is it xs10? Tks!
@JayRegular Жыл бұрын
If you want to do everything with one camera, I would recommend the xs10, I shot this video with the xt4, it has better video capabilities
@paulchapman11682 жыл бұрын
Great vid well done. Did you do the astro with the x100v. I have one and an xt4 16/55mm and 70/300mm
@JayRegular Жыл бұрын
Thanks Paul, I could have done it with the x100v, but the battery life would have not held up, and I didn't have a power bank. So I used the xt4 with viltrox 13mm f1.4 phenomenal lens
