Please do, most kids nowadays don’t understand what it was really like , everything was prepped up and decorated. It was perfect lol
@TMJRedux19993 ай бұрын
Please do, my good sir! Because that's what I used to do at my old house (that was in Winchester, Massachusetts if you must know) before COVID hit in 2020, and then I was forced to move away from it the following year! Now my new home is too small and we are SO lame, just like everyone else on my street in the neighborhood where decorating is FORBIDDEN thanks to the stupid HOA. I really miss doing this tradition so much. A bunch of completely dressed up kids visited my home every year in the 2010s when my house was decorated (except for 2010 when I didn't decorate for some strange reason) after witnessing the orange and purple lights, and spooky props! And got the candy they wanted. Yes, that video says 2000S in the title but Halloween in the 2010s (especially the early 2010s like 2010-2012) was very similar to the 00s! :/

Yeah. Just look at all those ORIGINAL Butterfingers to share and/or trade in that pic! I can smell it. :O This famous candy bar has not tasted the same since the 2010s, particularly 2018 when Ferrero changed the recipe after buying Nestle out. And thus? It's NO LONGER my favorite candy bar! :(

I always root for not falling for nostalgia bait because it’s a lead in depression, however I understand peak existence when I feel it and see it. Times really do change as it marches on. Don’t forget, you can still create new feelings like this. Don’t let what was prevent from what will

I wasn't allowed to trick or treat or even really celebrate Halloween as a kid but I still get nostalgia for it because I peeked out the windows at all the trick or treaters every year and I remember Halloween decor in stores and friends houses, and getting little candy and treats from friends and people at church who weren't as weird about Halloween.

Born in 2009 and living in Pennsylvania. This video evokes memories of the times I went trick or treating with my older sister as a young kid (mid and late 2010s) and also the halloween parties and parade they did in my elementary school. Some of my best memories about that was overflowing my candy bucket (everyone went trick or treating in my neighborhood back then so most of my neighbors passed candy) and the halloween party in a warehouse about a block away from my house where everyone gathered in. I made such great memories of that time. But then Covid happened and ruined everything and now hardly anyone trick or treats in my neighborhood anymore (I know because i went in my neighborhood again in 2021 and 2022). However I will still try to make memories similar to this again this year by trick or treating in the rich neighborhood because apparently everyone goes there for now on but I understand it will never be the same from when I was little.

Well I born in 1999 and living in Massachusetts! This exact video reminds me of Halloween in the 2000s when I was a kid. Plus my grandpa's annual Halloween party and what ever happened in elementary school for Halloween! It still was good in 2010s as well when I was a teen. That's when I decorated my house (as was a bunch of my neighbors by the year 2012) and went to Canobie Lake Park (in nearby New Hampshire) for a Halloween festival that nearly made me crap my pants in fear! :O Ever since 2020? The COVID has destroyed everything on Earth and yes sir! Barely anyone even trick or treats in my new neighborhood (I miss the old one so much ever since I moved in 2021). Also The Great Pumpkin from Peanuts NEVER airs on ABC anymore, and Spot (Eric Hill) got ruined with a disgraceful new spooky tale named Find Spot at the Halloween Party! I might be the ONLY hater of this book but I can sense the obvious problems with it! Spot's stupid bat dog costume being the worst offender here, due to ties with COVID.

@TMJRedux19993 ай бұрын
The excessive decorations were TOTALLY my favorite part about Halloween! I DID THIS at my house, but not in the 2000s. The 2010s! But this video still hit me when all the elaborately decorated homes were shown. Reminds me of my old neighborhood, particularly in the year 2012! A bunch of homes were all decked out, and I saw a bunch of kids trick or treating, WHILE trick or treating at the age of 13.

10,000X better than any modern setup. I'm so lucky to witness and experiance Halloween in the 80's, 90's, and very early 2000's, it was the very best times IMO.

And now it sucks! Why? >:( - Find Spot at the Halloween Party: DUH!!! You have Spot dressed as the very thing that started COVID in this absolutely problematic book, A BAT. - Less Halloween Decor - Ferrero's Disgusting Modern Butterfinger Recipe (that's NOT Nestle) - "Trunk or Treat" - iParty (the most underrated party store ever) is now closed! And replaced with Party City at all the former New England and Florida locations. The most overrated party store in comparison! I last enjoyed Halloween in like 2012! In my opinion? This holiday began to suck after 2012. I loved it best in the 2000s and early 2010s! :(

Ah yes! The 2000s. When Halloween was Halloween! :) This was my childhood decade when I actually made the effort to dress up, decorate, see my grandpa in Salem, Massachusetts (where he resided in) for Halloween party and watch It's The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown on ABC. Now everything I have loved about Halloween is DEAD! And no, it's not a joke guys.

This might have less to do with anything about the era and more the fact we were kids then and now we’re adults. Do you think our parents felt the same way we did back then? And do you think they didn’t feel that way when they were kids and don’t feel like they’ve lost that? I’m sure there’ll be young adults in the future nostalgic for now.

Are you sure about that?! The ultimate nostalgia god 100% disagrees with you.

Same! :( This is all COVID's fault. It ruined Halloween ever since 2020, and made Spot dress like the bloody bat that caused IT for no reason at all, in a book called Find Spot at the Halloween Party!!! The worst Spot book ever made in my opinion. Eric Hill would not be pleased to see this crap if he still alive! >:(
