If Chelsea's Ron "Chopper" Harris has seen this he must be wondering what all the fuss was about. He wasn't given his nickname for no reason. He did tackles like this week in week out. A famous one was when he thought he'd show George Best what to expect if he came near the Chelsea goal. True to form, as George got to the edge of the Chelsea penalty area, Ron ploughed into him, full speed studs first, an awful tackle. You could see George was really hurt but he was on his feet before Ron and put the ball past Peter Bonetti the Chelsea goalie into the net. What happened to Ron, booked, sent off? No chance. Nothing said, even by George. Mind you, it was George who made his point. Another "hard man" as they were called was Norman Hunter of Leeds Utd. Norman sadly passed away, April 17 this year. When Brian Clough was asked what he thought about Norman Cloughie said: Norman Hunter? He bites your legs. That became Norman's nickname. R.I.P. Norman, Georgie and Cloughie.
