Great race I hope they make it available on DVD one day, Holden fans would rejoice at Mark Skaife and Tony Longhurst winning the race, so fingers crossed that they make it available on DVD one day.

Watched everything from 79 to 98 (couldn't find 99, 00 unfortunately). Was feeling sentimental after watching the last of the Holdens win this year. Going to miss the Falcon and Commodore tradition as much as I do the older drivers.

To me the 2001 edition is the wildest ever 1000 km endurance race of all time

They should have the traditional ceremony before the race, bring back a brass band and dancing girls and perform a balloon release before the race like they do for the Indy 500.
