I am sick of people calling that car a "Z28 SS" The Only year that a Camaro had been Called a Z28 SS was The 1996. It was the actual return of the SS after a 24 year hiatus.

Thanks for the information, I for one didn't realize that as I'm really am not a camaro guy and only pay attention to old school Z28's IF they're VIN decoded as such. As far as this one, maybe somebody got excited w/ badging pieces. Calling as I see it in person for the video, as I don't VIN decode newer models...... And try not to let it bug you much as they use to take an early 70's Pontiac Lemans, place a mesh grille in it and upbadge it as a GTO, albeit as a "clone".......

​@@DavidsExecutiveTouch17 Yeah, 1972 was the last SS until 1996, when SLP contracted with GM to install aftermarket badging, Stainless steel exhaust, suspension, Zexel Torsen differential with American Axle differential cover, Functional, Composite, Ram Air Hood with an air box that was unique to that hood. The Z28 SS in 1996 had a production # badge on the center console. My car production # is 2304. There were roughly 2400 Z28 SS's Produced for 1996. The Internet will put the production # around 2200 but it is obvious that there were a few more ordered later that year. There are identification stickers on the fan shroud, both doors and the Code is R7T. I've owned my 96 Z28 SS for over 8 years.
