I’ve rarely had luck removing those bed bolts either. Usually build a new hardware kit in the job cost. Usually 80-100 on eBay.

Yeah, a T50 head on that huge bolt is ridiculous. I'm just glad I was able to do it without having to cut any out.

Jim Boles Agreed. Except for the ones behind the fuel tank. I’m not daring enough to put a blue wrench back there. Wiring harness on inside of frame too

Looks like so pretty sure it is. I had the passengers side bed panel replaced on my 2014 F350, because I pull a 5th wheel, I bought a Load your boat front mounted loader, had it on for 3 years, thought there was a little excessive front to back movement lately, took off the plastic rail cover, sure enough the top portion of reg bed liner was cracking, almost to the point of being able to see it with the plastic cover on, the body shop welded the inner flank of the top in 1 spot and over welded it so it just burned a hole, so no weld at all! It has a lifetime warranty on that side, but drivers is also cracking, Ford really scrimped on the metal there! But I think I’ll go for a flatbed instead, it will just happed again.

I'm about to do the exact same thing to my 02 f250. Do you think a dremmel and a culkabur would grind the old welds off?
@davidcockrell74923 жыл бұрын
I had to spell check its dremel and cocklebur
@samg55433 жыл бұрын
@@davidcockrell7492 not sure what a cocklebur is but a dremel may work. It may take a while though

Man, your new part already has a small dent there on the top edge. Will you fix that too?

What would a repair like this cost roughly?
@samg55432 жыл бұрын
This was probably 1500 to 2000. Can't remember

Where did you buy the bedside? Were you happy with fitment for the most part?
@samg55434 жыл бұрын
Bought from local Keystone Automotive, also called LKQ in some areas. Fit was really good. It was a CAPA certified aftermarket part. Make sure you ask for that if you don't buy an original Ford part.

Looking good brother, hay you haven't had a chance to do the video for me to help me out on your subscribers?
@samg55436 жыл бұрын
Trying to get to it. I'll probably just be able to stitch together parts of several videos or something like that. That work?
