These are the primo BC adventure vehicle. I've changed the oil on so many of them, and usually people are bringing them in for the first inspection after landing them-- and I haven't seen a single one with bad or old fluid. People say to change anything that needs it-- and I have yet to see a vehicle from Japan that actually needs any major service.

Mexican-plated cars and trucks are sorta common, and occasionally they are unusual models not seen here.

Helo Derek, i love the videos you do keep up the good work. i have a qn today. Do you guys do tuning if a customer buys a car and wants some modifications done to it before its shipped out. like adding turbo tweaking the suspension and many others? thanks

It really depends on what it is. Tuning the air fuel ratios and timing is useless because it has to be done to the fuel grades and Japan usually has higher octane fuel. Simple modifications like wheels, suspension, etc would be manageable.

Hey just curious how do you push the middle bench forward? There doesn’t seem to be any tracks. Just got my 2002 Delica L400 yesterday and can’t seem to figure it out. Thanks.

Gas is better for parts availability and highway driving. The gas versions also don't have the overheating/head gasket issue. Diesels are good but expect to have to invest some money into it straight away.

These with diesels aren't prone to overheating (like many Toyotas). The only real problem tends to be gross interiors from slovenly previous owners. Mechanically they are A-Ok.

I love these Delicas, too bad we don't get these in America. I've only seen 1 third gen running on the road in america but alot more in china and japan.

For Canada, most of them that are imported are diesels. People like to run them on vegetable oil or just like the fact that they are smaller diesel engines. The post face-lift diesels changed from a mechanical diesel pump to an electric one and that freed up an extra 15hp. There is a jump in prices because of this and so most people import the earlier ones. They are good value for money.
