Any brake cleaner will work. The best place is at Walmart . Right now autozone has 2 for 7.00 plus tax. I just done a drum brake job on my nissan frontier xe and it cleaned up brake 1❤

How do you back the shoes off so you can take off the drum? I can't see the adjuster lever to pry it out of the way through the adjustment port

Just go from behind the drum where you have to adjust the brakes, so use one screwdrivers to move the clip for the adjuster and other one to loosen it up the shoos

I have replaced my rear drum brakes on each side. I do have a "howling' sound on one side but only when I apply the brakes while the truck is moving in reverse. All is installed correctly. any ideas as to what is causing the "howling" sound?

You probably need more adjustment but no too much 2 turns is fine Or your Brake shoes quality

I have a 2001 Nissan Frontier XE 2wd. This is NOT the rear brakes on my truck. Shoes, adjuster and parking brake are all different.
