@@cory2023 oh give it a rest. That was at the very beginning of the season, nobody in their right mind wouldve said that Washington was better than Miami at the end of that regular season

So the beginning of the season doesn't count? They both had 10-1 records. That's not a conserviousal take. Why not washington?
@omar102132452 жыл бұрын
@@cory2023 the season doesnt exist in a vacuum. What's more, people have these things called eyeballs in their heads, it allows people to see what's happening in front of them. Anybody with properly functioning eyeballs, whom wanted to remain honest, would admit that miami was the better team at the conclusion of the season. Just using stats on a piece of paper alone, doesnt come close to illustrating the reality of the situation

OU played fsu in the championship. Miami beat Fsu in weak 7. Remember back in the BCS days it was better to get a loss early in the year. POS bcs computer said our strengths of schedule was .006 lower than FSU. After that horrible decision NCAA corrected that rule and made head-to-head a priority. Which made in a 3 year time span, Miami being robbed of 2 national championships

These were the two best teams in the country in 2001 as well. Florida's 1996 team was the only better Spurrier team than 2001, but they blew it against Tennessee in the 9/11 makeup game. Could've been a good Rose Bowl.

As a hurricane fan, we always look at Florida State is our chief rival. We don’t play the gators every year, but I’m trying to remember the last time we didn’t play a game with them that there wasn’t off off field drama there’s a lot of emotion in this game. I’m looking forward to going to the gameAugust 31 at Florida Field. Both teams are in similar situations and both teams really need to win the game so I know it’s gonna be tremendous.

This 2000 Miami team doesn't get it's due. Everyone always talks about the 2001 Canes and rightfully so, but this team had a lot of the same players plus Dan Morgan, Santana Moss, Reggie Wayne and Damian Lewis on the D-Line. Their schedule was also tougher because they played Washington on the road (tough place to win) and the last great FSU Bobby Bowden team. The 2001 FSU team was one of the worst of the Bowden era because they lost a ton of guys to the NFL.

UF should have played Miami in the 2001 season but got upset by Tennessee. The game got rescheduled due to 9/11 that year. I think UF would have given Miami a much better game than Nebraska who got destroyed by Colorado and gave up 62 points in that game. Nebraska was a sacrificial lamb basically to that Miami team. I still can't believe they picked Nebraska to play in the Rose Bowl after that beat down they took by CU.
