bmboldt: Thanks for sharing all of these games. It's great to go back and enjoy such good football all over again.

Eric Crouch's 95-yard TD run in this game (at 1:43:00) is, by far, the greatest TD run by a QB that I've ever seen (I've been a FB fan for 40+ years, and a Husker fan for almost as long). Lapham even says, "Strike the Heisman-pose, Eric, 'cause that's a Heisman Trophy-caliber play..." And, it was actually 102 yards, as he starting his forward progress in his own endzone! Better than any of Michael Vick's runs (college or pro), better than any of Steve Young's runs, better than any runs from Randall Cunningham, Donovan McNabb, Fran Tarkenton or Roger Staubach (and I'm a Cowboys fan)... His run in this game is even better than Tommie Frazier's 75-yard TD run vs Florida (that helped the Huskers win the '95-96 Nat'l Championship), because I think the Gators had already given up in that game, and made half-hearted efforts to tackle Tommie towards the end of that run. If anybody's ever seen a better (longer) TD run by a QB (college or pro), let me know about it, because I'd love to see it (and be proven wrong about his run) :-)

I saw that run from the south end zone. It was like watching a video game.

Frank had such great success because he had Tom's players for the first couple years maybe if he wasn't so busy chasing tail antenna better job recruiting you know he wouldn't have been fired it truly is disingenuous to say he got the 50 wins faster than anybody I mean when you're given the keys to the program that just won three national titles in four years

Tom had such great success because he had Bob's players for the first couple years. When you're given the keys to the program that just won two national titles in three years, it's easy, right?

Without Crouch this NU team would’ve won 9 games. GBR!

Dave Lapham is a hoot as the color guy. He reminds me a bit of John Madden. "Kevin Johnson breaks both his ankles, ya know, trying to change direction with Eric Crouch." "No harm in throwing it to his girlfriend in the stands." Lol.

nebrska has been such a great football program for 3 decades plus its hard to watch such mediocraty the biggest mistake they made was firing frank solich and even worse that it was allowed by the president otherwise nebraska would still be a contender

Nebraska needs to play Missouri again. Roy Helu is tired af because he's still running.

They were only mediocre compared to Osborne's teams. They were better than 95% of college teams.

Little did we know the Nebraska defense was a smoke screen.

I didn't expect them to play well vs. Miami, who may be the best squad since Nebraska's '95. But that Colorado game was absolutely abysmal. Buffs ran that stretch play like they were in practice with no pads against no d.

Nebraska defense, while decent at times, was affected profoundly when Charlie McBride retired.
