The thing with hotdog buns is that they were made with the party scene in mind not the home scene so people think that party hosts will buy around 40 or 80 hotdogs for one party. Also there are the big packs which contain about 20 or 40 hotdogs.

To be fair the walking speed in Gen 1 is nowhere near as slow as later games, so running shoes aren't that nessisary. Heck the bike isn't that much faster compared to it.

Gen 4 being the biggest offender of the slow speed in later generations. I'm greatful for the Physical/Special Split, but Walking in that Generation was torture. Don't even get me Started on Surfing in Diamond and Pearl (Thank Arceus for Platinum)

I could never stand Ted's constant whining about this part. I actually really liked searching for the Green Stars. It's fine if not everyone agrees with that, but I'm didn't need to hear about it multiple times in every part of this section of the game.
