Not sure about Ashlee’s but mine is still running good. Which ever cylinder Is misfiring. Clear the code then switch coil for the cylinder that is misfiring with a coil from a cylinder that isn’t. When the code comes back, see which cylinder is misfiring. If it’s the same cylinder as before, then it’s the injector. If it moved, it’s the coil.

Great video. Very informative. My 02 Trailblazer with 257k miles on it isn't specifying which cylinder is misfiring. Just gives me a P0300 code and the check engine light is constantly flashing. I replaced all of the plugs and coils and still didn't help. Would this be worth trying?

I did it a few months ago on my girlfriend’s envoy, which looks exactly the same. All you need to use to do is a fuck ton of swearing at the manufacturer and after a couple of hours and a billion different combinations of sockets/ratchets/extensions/swivels, etc. you’ll get it out.

I had to lay down on top of engine and reach from the top and to hold socket on bolt and turn the wrench from side and worked but it's a bitch.

@@RedneckMudder88 I have a work platform that I stood on and laid across the engine bay. Each of those bolts required a different socket/extension/ratchet(hand/electric). My recommendation is just sell the car and buy a new one 🤣

My son was able to reach it, he was using a 1/4 in drive with a taped up swivel. He’s 6’4 with ungodly long arms. 🤌

I've got a P0301 lean code. installed new plugs and faulty coils but still misfiring. I dunno, should I go with the O2 sensor or fuel injector? Also I have a very bad leak from valve gasket, waiting for the parts, coming next week.

I would go with the injector on the effected cylinder. The O2 sensor detects a lean condition, it doesn’t cause it.

No problem! That’s most likely pcv tube. (Positive crankcase ventilation) that’ll cause a vacuum leak.

Thank you I will looking for a good video on how to take the manifold out because I was changing my coil packs in the boat broke on the last one, by the firewall can not see it so I will have to do all of that in order to get to the little stud that's hanging up

you said it was leaking from the rear main seal? did this stop that leak or did you mean that no other leaks started?? i think mine has the same problem. i dont have a power steering leak but i can tell sometimes there is strain on the pump.

Sorry for the late response. If I had to do this for a customer, my labor would have been around $400 but this was my sons truck and it was a labor of love and education.

Thanks for video, it seems like cylinder 4 is my pain in the ass now. My husband did spark plugs, coil, and last but not least we got the fuel injector next. I am debating just taking it to a mechanic.

It is quite a bit of work. I wouldn’t recommend doing the job yourself if you aren’t comfortable.

The valve cover gasket. It should come with the spark plug seals.

Sorry for the late response but the only reason we removed the valve cover is because it was leaking and we replaced the gasket.

Yes you are correct. That is a dumb question.

The throttle body regulates how much air goes into the engine. The throttle body also creates a vacuum in the intake manifold which is useful because many components utilize vacuum to operate (EGR, fuel pressure regulator, brake booster, and many more I can't think of right now).

2 days with that pain in the ass intake man... that last bolt in the back by the firewall is a bitch!! He didnt really show it but u can see how his arm is snaked between the brake booster and power steering or brake fluid resevoir and firewall and engine

@@danielmonar8925 there might be, i havent looked yet (still need to do it to mine, havent bothered its cold season) but its in the haynes manual. remove center console, remover ac control trim plate, unscrew the unit and unplug for 5 minutes plug back in and it should recalibrate.
