I love coming back to this one and the 500 video occasionally. As a relapsed NASCAR addict (didnt watch but a few races for like 10 years) it feeds my sickness once the off season starts.

This was the final race for chassis number 004 from the 8 team, one of the best super speedway cars. This car ran every plate race between 2000 and October 2002, picking up four wins, including the 2001 Pepsi 400 and three straight at Talladega. Now currently on display at the Talladega Museum in the exact condition it left victory lane, still covered with dried up Budweiser

The good old days. Your ears must ring afterwards from the sustained RPM. What were you turning in that era. 9800-9900?

Well in this race about 6800 to 7600 rpm

They didn't turn many RPM's in this era. Averaged around 7000.
