It’s actually not a v6... it’s a 4.2 Inline 6 aka the 4200 great engines and could hold some power

@@dford1576 yeah it’s been done but it all has to be custom parts. I don’t think they have aftermarket internals and manifolds to put on it but they can hold up to 550hp on stock internals. I don’t know of anyone that pushed them further than that

These with some cam work, a turbo and exhaust actually sound really healthy. These motors can make good power and came with decent power from the factory

I wish they used 4.2L Inline six in the silverado as the base engine instead of the 4.3 V6. The 4.2L Inline six actually made decent power and torque for what it is

I like your videos, but sorry to disagree on this one😁! 'Good exhaust shops' prefer to focus on the sound quality above simply making it LOUD. I haven't watched the rest of this yet (as soon as I give my $.02), but I'm certain this would sound better with muffler delete, and leaving the resonator on. They don't quiet it much, but they do make the sound quality smoother, less raspy, lower toned. Unless she likes the sound of banging on a tin garbage can, to each their own! 🥴 I have an 03 Envoy XL with the 5.3 V8, do you by chance know what sized exhaust is on it, I'm thinking I read 2³/⁴"? It didn't come with a resonator, but just a big ol garbage can of a muffler! I like the smooth Magnaflow sound, but could I save $ by deleting the garbage can and putting a used resonator from local muffler shop in its place?
