I was a yamaha R1 guy just loved them. Owned one. Then in 2003 I bought my first big bore Kawasaki it was an 01 ZX9R and it changed my life I really loved that bike over all others put many miles on it went to several states with it. Even a 9 hr to Illinois with it . I miss it so much 😓😓😓😓

I've heard these be called touring or sports tourer bikes way too many times, they really are nothing close to them at all. I had a 2008 Kawasaki ER6f (Ninja 650r), that is a sports tourer, and even with ultra low Renthal bars on that, it was much higher than the ZX9r. The clip-ons may be a bit higher than other sport bikes, but that's it. It's still a full on sports bike, and a very good one at that. And if the one in the video is a 2002, it's a late registered E2, the F1 was released in 2002.

Cliff has a lot of difficulty keeping the smile from his face when he first sees the ZX9R, He is just busting his pants for a ride.

That's an '01 not an '02. The 2002 got a new tail with no grab handles, a new singarm with a top brace and new gold Nissin calipers. That's an '01 red paint scheme as well.

Actually, it's a 2000 model E1. The E2 was a 2001.
@tonymontana89711 ай бұрын
In the UK, they have this most retarded system of calling a bike's year model by when it was actually first registered, so you can have a 2000 model year manufactured bike but if you first register it in say, 2005, then they refer to it as a 2005 model. I know right ? It's so dumb.

zx9r vs cbr 1100 xx vs first r1 -choice cann be only one kawasaki zx9r all this bike have similiar performance but kawa are more comfortable than r1 and not that big and heavy like cbr and in me opinion it looks best and have greatest ergonomics from this 3 ,r1 i give overal value 7,5 for me is to sporty and dont have good looking , cbr is to heavy and big so i give it also 7,5 i dont understand why this guy dont like combinet cbs brake in honda it work great and wery strong maybe he likke to do stopie anyway zx9 i give 9 for 10 i give zx9 r 10 on 10 when it have combined brake with sport abs and fuel injection .

@@Gio-en5kv E1 and E2 are pretty much the same, if not exactly. The E1 crossed over the years so you can get both a 2000 and a 2001 E1, probably the same for the E2 but 2001 to 2002. They did possibly change the livery design between the two. I've been doing a fair bit of research as I just purchased a lovely E1, I put my first ride video up just today, love it!

Also I know a bloke that toured Europe on his old 9r with a pillion. He still has one, but it's his second, mostly ride a much newer Z900 these days. Love mine, I certainly can ride all day with no issues for myself.

@@HalfdeadRider I have a ‘96 ZX6R- it’s much like the ZX9R. And yes you can have a pillion but it’s far from ideal. This machine is really meant for solo riding. I love mine btw, still a absolute joy to ride;-)
@HalfdeadRider2 жыл бұрын
@@JPWest020 They are exactly the same, other than the engine has either different size pistons/sleeves, or bore (sleeves) and stroke (different crank). You can swap most parts from a 6 and 9 of the same year.

The rider is not much more comfortable than the pillion as it is too narrow and thinly padded towards the front.

Putting all your weight forward means zero back pain. Sport bikes are way easier on your body than putting all your weight on your spine. Although I've never ridden a Harley, so this is just my theory.
@HalfdeadRider3 жыл бұрын
@@moorshound3243 You'd be surprised how comfortable they are, especially if you know how to set up a sport bike for you, and sit on it properly so you don't put all your weight on your wrists.
