Well, we do have 1997 and 98. It wasn't just one year. Considering the recruiting base in Florida, Miami should be far better than Syracuse at football. Wait a couple more seasons. Mark Richt will top out at 8 or 9 wins, and Syracuse will be on the rise with Dino Babers. They already did something Miami couldn't do this season- beat Virginia Tech.

Look at what they did to this team. Smashing through them on every play, being flat our faster on some td's. They bullied syracuse and ran it up with a fake punt, then blew up the opposing qb on an int with 2 minutes left up by 40. This was a no mercy, swagger team like the old 80's teams. Take no shit or prisoners but still execute better than the other teams too. Can't help but wonder how this team would be remembered if they had won the national championship against ohio state

That night Miami wasn’t gonna win that game no matter what. Refs made sure if that. Ohio can have that win but it wasn’t a honest win and honestly not Ohio’s fault, refs just made sure they were gonna win that game.
