I've decided to try upgrading one of Squier's least expensive models, a 2002 Affinity Bullet Strat. I will treat this one to as many upgrades as I can… just see the list below. Exactly how far can we go? I know… plywood body, 40mm nut, toploader bridge, single humbucker route… not a great base. Time will tell. This is a multi-episode project, and I hope you enjoy following along.

Nice!! I just got a great strat for £99 from chashies. The fretboard feels no worse than most fender i’ve played (and i’ve played a lot.) this video gave me some great ideas to finish it off

Another coincidence. I recently got a 2011 Bullet Strat sss from a pawn shop. I got it because the neck felt so good and the price was acceptable. I'll change tuners and pickups, then enjoy it.

I'm doing an SSH Affinity next (more than likely, because I just picked one up), and I have an SSS on the way as well. Will take me a while to get to all of them, but it's a good problem to have. I was short on project guitars heading into Christmas. I like the Squiers as an upgrade platform.

As always, great videos! Have you used the Guyker locking tuners before? I'm looking to upgrade my Squier Telecaster. The neck is awesome but the tuners aren't very reliable.
