Just replace the 811600-4623 (it is a PWM driver) and check the soldering of the nearby schottky diodes on both sides of the board. When a solenoid issue is not resolved on those units no matter how many tests and checks I do, replacing the chip, or actually the 3 chips will fix it. I say 3 chips, because the one nearer to the terminal is the VVT-i driver.

Guessing on waveforms of a solenoid control? Is just odd. It either provides current or it doesn't, no? Is the shift a pulse width modulation? I'm confused

@@mikem5475 yes it is a pulsed voltage signal to control the solenoid. That with the resistance of the solenoid will also control the amperage.

Why not just test transmission with manual control to see if the issue is mechanical or within the transmission?
