I am impressed with the thoroughness of this video. I was concerned that I would have to do trial and error to get the polarity of the LEDs correct. Your presenting the chart to show each individual LED position was a great aid. I decided that I would use a solder sucker to clear the holes. I don't like to overheat connections and braid also applies more heat than I desire. Thank you, FUS Attempted Repair for a very helpful video.

Just curious, there are 11 bulbs to that cluster, but yet the LED kit you listed the eBay link to is a kit of only 10 LEDs

Have you ever tried putting Transparent Tape for LED Lights, it comes in 1/2 to 3" width over the Display Chip before putting the cover back on to change the color of the Green Temp. They sell it in different colors. This might also work on Cluster Info Center & PRND321?

Hi. Thanks for your videos!! I have learned so much what I need to do to switch to blue LED’s in My 2005 F350. The problem is I don’t trust myself doing it and I can’t find anyone anywhere around to do it. I need to do my climate control, info, and steering wheel controls. Would you be interested in in doing them? Of course for a price. I have everything tore apart and ready. Also I have the LED’s. Please let me know. Thank You.

How can I rebuild it so the buttons are accurate with the numbers as I move it up and down. I move the nobs colder or hotter and the numbers jump all over

That's the deoxit spray he mentioned, removes any oxidation within the knobs causing the numbers to jump around. If that doesn't fix it, you'll need to replace the bad knob.

Great video. I do happen to have the other version board with the plug at the top. I don't see the revision comment if the specific light positions you pointed out are the correct ones with reversed polarity for the lights. Were you right on those positions?

The kit has been revised over a year ago now to include x1 round 3mm led specifically to fit the blower speed button without cutting. Just not shown in video

Very nice and informative video. A question please. My numbers are skipping very bad. Even if you turn clockwise to increase the temperature, the numbers go up and down. I might can get it to 72 and one more turn will make it go back down to 60. Will the Deoxit spray fix this and would I have to take the front black faceplate off or can I get away with it by just removing the buttons while the unit is still installed in the car? The climate control in my silverado 2005 is not automatic, and has two different lights, the centers ones are 6v and the rest are 3 v, can I use the same square led in all places? Can you help on this?

Yes you can but the center 3 volt may be dimmer than 6 volt . Most 5mm LEDs are 3-6 volts.

@@j1mmyv707 I have 50 blue leds of 3mm and they are 3v. I installed one of those on the center with a 1k resistor, and works, but I just put one. And I do not know if I can install this LEDs directly on the rest of the places. What do you think.? This 3mm LEDs are clears.

You can use the 5MM 12 volt cube ones i listed for all the bulbs on your 05 Slider style climate. The leds have a resistor inside them so they work from 3 volts to 12 volts

I saw another video and the guy didn't make the degree digits white but was able to us transparent Lens gel paper and stick it across the screen to match up the blue LED lights and it looked amazing, I will try to find the video, he didn't show how he did it but put in the description vaguely how he made it look like a match, plus he did the DIC and gear shift lights like that as well. It's one of the vids searching for envoy or trailblazer Auto ac unit LED switches

5mm , if you don’t want to modify the blower speed control you can put a 3mm one there also. Working on making a listing for a kit with the x10 5mm and 1 3mm for that reason
