Hello, special thanks for doing this video. This was very helpful. I would like to add my experience. Jack up your car and loosen all the bolts before removing them. You can remove the shield under the car which is a must. Very helpful to have the 19mm long wrench to loosen the nut connected to power steering housing, not the pump housing. I bought my high pressure hose from Autozone. RockAuto does not carry it. Take your time getting old hose out. Its a bit tricky, but it will come out with the correct angle. The new hose comes with two orings. Do NOT forget to put them on. Once you get the new hose in place, you may have to wiggle or even bend the hose to go back into the steering housing. Mine was a bit long but managed to get it connected. Be super careful that the nut goes in straight into the housing. Stripping the nut or housing will just give you the biggest head ache. My biggest headache was getting the 10mm middle nut securing the hose to the mid section of the frame. I had to insert a screw driver to get the holes to line up. If I am correct the new hose nut going into the power steering housing was 17mm, while the old one was 19mm. Be aware it is not same size. Take your time, take photos, write things down. Its not easy but can be done with patience and a bit of mechanic skill. Note, have a catch pan and rags ready. I laid a large plastic cover on the ground with catch pan for the power steering fluid drippings. It gets everywhere. You will need about 1/2 canister of fluid to fill the hose. I purchased Autozone Honda fluid. Keep an eye on your fluid levels for awhile.. make sure no drips. Best of luck to you.

@arielban13 жыл бұрын
@@ryoung375 did you get it installed? Are you having hard time lining it up to install the tubing to the housing? You may need another pair of hands to get it aligned. Take you time installing the nut. Don’t cross tread it. Just install the nut loosely then adjust the tubing to the rest of the car. Tighten nut last. I had the same trouble lining it up.

Not neccesary to remove heat shield. Feed the end of hi pressure hose by pushing it thru from the power steering box side. Then go around and pull it the rest of the way through.

@redpilllense71253 жыл бұрын
Bro, I just installed my power steering pressure hose using your instructions. It all went exactly how you explained it but I do have one issue. I really struggled at the rack and pinion end. I couldn't quite get the connection fully in and snug as it previously was. I considered bending the line a bit to get the right angle but wasn't sure if this would break or damage the line. Anyhow, somehow I did get an angle to screw the line in but it won't fully connect. I didn't force it in, fearing of damaging the threads. I have about an eight to have fully connected. I found it pretty resistant to keep on threading it in. It was going in pretty smooth until it just wouldn't. I'm new at this and just trying to learn and understand. I really appreciate you for posting this video. Any advice or input?
@duquesautomotive61613 жыл бұрын
Hello, when you are installing the line you can push the line in with the fitting still not connected to the threads. Then you will be able to choose the angle the line is going to face, then you can tighten down the fitting. Shake the line as you tighten the fitting so it will be centered. I hope this help.
@rubinnunez124 Жыл бұрын
I had the same issue with the part of the line that threads into the rack and pinion. It's just not threading in all the way. It started threading smooth by hand and then it stopped, and I feel resistance to it.
