2003 4 Runner 4.0L v6 Idler Pulley and Serpentine Belt Replacement

On the v6 the water pump is accessible without removing timing cover.

Also, I own a 2004 Toyota 4 runner Sport, I believe the 2003 through 2009 V6 do not have timing belts. These models have timing chains. So, unless you blow a timing chain, you wouldn't change a timing belt, like the V8 Toyota 4 runners have.

The spacers with Toyota are a hit and miss, sometimes you need it sometimes not. Toyota had a TSB to add an internal spacer on some of the 2GR-FE engine pulleys, but it says only when you have noise. Mine didn't need.
