Any idea on what would cause 1271 through 1278 high to low side open codes on all injectors? I sent my IDM off to have it checked and fixed if it's the problem. I hope it fixes it. But my symptoms were as follows • a lot of white smoke • rpms wouldn't go passed 2500 • weak start • no power up grade It seemed intermittent at first. Problem happened out of nowhere, drove great the day before on a 180 mile trip to my house, the next morning it started up and had a lot of smoke, low on diesel I stopped and filled the tank, closer to my job it started surging and would run fine for about 5 mins then it lost so much power I had to turn around and limp it home. It would backfire, then go back to normal for about 30 seconds, then lose power and backfire again.

Check Cps 1st if you haven't already. HPOP failing or injectors 3 areas I would suspect

I'm throwing a 1670 code w/very weak crank then start. Once started, feels like running fine. 🤔

Check the fuse, wiring and relay for the IDM check IDM fuse #27. Good place to start I've seen Glowplugs throw this code also.

😆 not starting now & there's a buzzing /weezing sound coming from wheel well during crank ATTEMPT LOL😅 . Waiting on part still

@@dannyvInVABeach pull the idm which is behind the wheel well. Then get the exact one online or from a junk yard or a marketplace part out vehicle and put I in.

Check engine light on? Any codes?

Sometimes you get a P1316 - IDM Codes detected. Sometimes you get nothing. Sometimes you get a DTC, Sometimes the CEL comes on and goes off with throttle demand. The IDM can send a lot of mixed signals for the same problem from my experience. Best bet if you suspect an IDM issue is disconnect the batteries, pull it and send it to get tested.
