2003 BMW M5 (E39) Touring/Wagon: Cold Start, Dual Mode Exhaust Sounds at Idle and Revving

This is my heavily modified (but mostly with stock parts) 2003 540iT M-Sport Touring/Wagon converted to an M5. This video shows what it sounds like and looks like when you do a cold start and also what the dual mode exhaust sounds like with the cutout both open and closed at idle and also some quick revving of the engine.

Dude, this is the real deal. I own a regular touring, but this..This is an object of a dream. I really white envy yours gloss shadow line trim, looks so slick and badass. Keep her up. The world needs cars like this to remind what an actual engenired auto should look and drive like.

I see you had your ABS module rebuilt and you still have the trifecta‘s. Probably just needs to have the module Re-coded . I own a ‘99 M sport touring e39 with 217,000 miles. We need to keep them rolling!😎🇩🇪🚙

Bingo! The E62 is also amazing but I like the smaller e39 in touring. The design just fits so dang well. I can see it as a car you have for many years with no need or desire for another. Very few cars look better as a wagon and the e39 is one. E93 also looks great but a little too small for my dog and kid sruff

Spectacular- NOT! May I ask why you guys did not swap to the V10 engine the only valid engine for an M5? I mean you have no laws, you can straight pipen everything do it! And why do you fist your cold engines so much?

This is an E39 and the only engine available in that era in an M5 was a V8. Perhaps you should learn some basics before denigrating someone's build. Not that I care, this build got worldwide attention and sold for a record setting price on Bringatrailer. But sure, sit home and make stupid comments on someone's build, that seems like a good use of time.
