The first time was transmission fluid replacement and it made it shifting smoother! I am happy to report that my speedometer is now working as it supposed to.

Thanks buddy, your lucky your wire harness is still in tact. I just bought a 03 impala and the previous owner cut some of the factory wires and so i have no radio and i cant access my cars features (i.e alarm features, automatic door features, car maintenance e.t.c).

yes. I believe that's exactly why it exits... to allow you to keep your factory stereo hooked up for settings.
