Thanks for the real-on your back-in driveway video man. That’s what a lot of us guys do. See what’s leaking, order parts, fix all day Saturday. My box is leaking slowly from the same spot the pitman shaft seal area. Probably bite the bullet and order a blue top gearbox. I like quality parts. Also guys like you and me. Yea man stuck to pneumatic and good old hand tools. The battery stuff is great but it’s expensive and often just too big and heavy. Thankyou!!

why was it so noisy after replacement? Air?? What is the proper bleeding procedure for this truck. I like to have whisper quiet steering if possible.

Thats cool u use atf my first job pumping gas we would use it for trans and power steering never had a complaint or anyone questing it.

@@danielworden4695 I have found that a few vehicles actually call for ATF in the power steering

This was a great video. However, I am having a problem reconnecting the steering shaft coupler to the gear box. Do you have any tips?

That power steering pump is fried!

I use ATF because it's a detergent keeps the pump and seals clean internally

Do these trucks have a rack in pinion? Might be a dumb question but I’m having issues with mine

Later years went to rack n pinion I think

2wd models had rack and pinion 4wd had gear box
