Where did you get that large 4 stud socket to get the ring nut off the front of the bearing hub? That is my missing link right there

Been a couple years since I did this never had a problem. I got the socket on Amazon. It's too bad a specialty tool is required for the job.

You don’t set the preload with the nut? I’ve never seen someone torque the nut down and never spin it to check before putting the lock plate on. Is it just a torque spec since it isn’t a tapered bearing?

Suzuki is special torq to 155.5 for 99 and newer

You installed an abs kit? But the ones you replaced where not abs right?

These should be torqued to 155.5 ft lbs, so he will be doing it again real soon

I can't get mine to fall off like that. There's what looks like a slot for a flat head screw driver but when I put one in there it doesn't help pull the wheel hub off. Did you just get lucky when it came off like that?

Yes, he did get lucky. I had to use a puller and a rotary hammer to remove the race that was stuck on there still!

You didn't just replace the bearings you replaced the hub assembly which mine don't have that you go to replace bearings race seals , that's to easy lol

its not a socket its a Axle Nut removal tool Special tool for axle nut (wheel bearing lock nut) part # 09951-16050

@@fizzley19 Once you remove the hub then you can press the bearing out. But it's way easier to just replace the hub.
