God damn, my family owns 2 4.7s, one is mine and the other is my uncles. Love these trucks so much. People say 4.7s are crap for reliability, and they kinda are. It depends on if you take care of them or not. They are sensitive to abuse. Change your fluids on time. For power output, 235HP and 295 ft lb of torque isn't bad for a 287CI motor. It put out more power than the 318CI 5.2 Magnums did. I will admit they suck on fuel economy. But one thing I'm pretty sure alot of people can agree on... is the fact they sound badass. Especially with an exhaust system. In the low rpms they have a signature whirring sound. But past 4K, they scream like a V8 should. 2nd gen Dakota for life.

I got a 2002 Durango sxt handed down from my dad. It sat for 5+ years and still started as soon as you turn the key. It was my dad's dream car so it was well taken care of.

I believe this truck had the most torque of any midsize until i believe the diesel colorado came out. Edit: it was likely the Dakota RT 5.9 which made 345 lbft

It only moves at 5100 rpm maybe a little faster if it shifts at 5600 rpm badly 🤦‍♀️

My Mitsubishi eclipse 2006 gs with a 2.4L I4 goes faster then that, but nice dodge, I like the engine sound 😮
