I recently changed all 4 struts and that bottom bolt gave me trouble to get it in, pretty tricky but nothing too difficult to work on. Great job man.
@zachmiller2894 жыл бұрын
Fernando Aragon thanks for the kind words! Yeah, it’s a pretty straight forward repair. That bottom bolt does put up a good little fight though. Haha

I wonder if they sell rear camber adjustment bolts like they do the front. I have the lift kit on my 03 expedition and my rear tires are cambered inwards and are wearing out my new tires.
@ivanolson21512 жыл бұрын
Isn't that what the tie rod adjustments are for?

Thanks getting the tools i dont have together now. Ill be using a 1/2 telescoping breaker bar instead of an impact wrench.

What brand are these shock/strut? Mine are way overdue for a replacement.
@zachmiller2893 жыл бұрын
These were Sensen brand the customer supplied from RockAuto.
@JohnDoe-bs2nm3 жыл бұрын
Are the jacks on the frame rails? nothing else needs to be jacked?
@zachmiller2893 жыл бұрын
Yes, under the frame. You want the suspension to be able to sag down so it’s not under pressure. 👍 good luck!
@JohnDoe-bs2nm3 жыл бұрын
Thanks alot, if i add this lift kit on amazon Supreme Suspensions - Full Lift Kit for 2003-2017 Ford Expedition 3" will it be alot harder to fit the shocks in, meaning line them up with the bottom bolt holes.
@hubert-williams33792 жыл бұрын
why did you change the structs?... What are the tell tell signs of a strut failing, other than the obvious low end
@zachmiller2892 жыл бұрын
This was a customer request. However, the most common signs of failing shocks/struts are oil leaking and a very bumpy ride where the vehicle continues to bounce up and down after going over a dip in the road.

@@zachmiller289 Oil leaking??, What oil? From where?...I have 03 Expedition I changed the front struts only because I thought it was time too. The ride is not smooth over bumps front or rear, no bouncing
@zachmiller2892 жыл бұрын
@@hubert-williams3379 inside the shocks there’s gas/oil. When the seal is worn or fails you’ll start to see oil accumulate on the body of the shock. acurazine.com/forums/attachments/2g-tsx-problems-fixes-145/5984d1342376315-leaking-strut-img_0897.jpg
