@A Fera Modify it then. With upper and lower pullies, bigger throttle body, CAI, longtubes, x-pipe, cat back, plus a tune (for not that much $ per horsepower gains)...the terminator lands you in the 470 to 500 whp range. Stock Eaton porting gets you to 530 whp/tq. That's far more than what the average Coyote makes at the wheels. Even a 3rd gen Coyote's 460hp only equates to 410-415 whp. Indeed with full bolt-ons they can reach 460whp which is great for a NA engine, but average torque will be a full 100 lb ft below the Terminator as the Terminator would have useable power and torque across the entire rev range vs the peaky Coyote. And lastly, you have a very important car from Ford history. It's the pioneer of supercharged pony cars from the factory. They hold value longer than the Coyotes do. 2011-2014 1st gen Coyotes have already fallen below the value of Terminators. Why? Well as awesome as the Coyote may be, they are still a "seen everywhere car" vs the Terminator's "unicorn" effect. At the end of the day, the new 5.0s are awesome engines that finally bring back the performance bang the old school ones enjoyed in the late 80s/ early 90s but they are GT Mustangs. Highly popular with high production numbers each year. The Terminators were somewhere around 12000 units at best and if you have one of the rare color combos (Mystic, Comp Orange, Oxford white, Sonic Blue, etc.), that number becomes 200s to 1200s. Distributed across 50 states...minus those wrecked, and you have a car you won't see too much of on the streets.

@@isaacbojorquez38 ever single magazine that tested those cars disagrees with you. The termi was faster than the z06. And with a couple minor tweaks they are faster than the new z06 too lol.

well stock v stock the zo6 ran faster times.hit 12.3 on the Z and 12.9 on the termi. the zo6 was a funner car for me all around. i dont miss the termi at all
@AP-wf9nu6 жыл бұрын
@@isaacbojorquez38 you are really bad at driving if you only managed a 12.9 in a 03 Mustang Cobra 😂. And I'd have to see time slips to believe 12.3 in a stock z06...

Miss my Cobra, these cars still hold their own even in this day and age.

There’s a yellow SVT Cobra in the city where I live.. it’s gorgeous, would love to own one, except it’s probably too powerful for me I’d definitely end up in jail lol.

When this car came out, Ford had one with 15 PSI of boost and drag radials, it ran a 11.8 @ at 118 mph. However, being very nose heavy, handling was poor

What I love is they still film the video in the same style from even 2003.

Why do these tools always get in the cars showing how to adjust seats and basically attempt to break everything they touch? Overact much? 4:20.

As much as I love a good classic Motor Week episode, watching the crew dive into the driver side of nice cars like a linebacker then flail around like fish out of water always annoyed the daylights out of me.

By far my favorite mustang also. My personal opinion this, and the WS6 were the best cars to own of that era. Hands down.
