Saw one advertised as I was looking for a car for my son. Showed him it and he goes "nah"... I saw that he had JUST posted the ad. I met him and bought the car all within 45 minutes of him posting the ad. His mother was the original owner and he had power of attorney (she was in a home)... the car is absolutely spotless! Galaxy silver with charcoal leather, new tires, all service just completed and under a hundred thousand miles. I'm happy. Now my son wants to trade for the Ford Fusion that he ended up with (sorry, no dice!)
@ameliawilder28Ай бұрын
Damn, your son doesn't know good cars when he sees them! I would have taken it in a heartbeat! Love pontiacs and the simplicity of them. Fun cars. Unfortunately, I had to settle on a Ford escape. The space is very handy, though. Used to have 05 beetle in cyber green. It was the top of the line trim model at the time! Then some lady hit me head on while I was stopped at a red. To find a car like that, within that era, with a perfect frame, super low mileage (it was only 98k), and have it drive like a dream - is rarer than painite. I would love to settle with a car from the 2000s again.

Why did GM just get rid of gmc or buick instead of pontiac?
@TheeAbstractHero10 жыл бұрын
Because GMC vehicles are supposed to be the more professional and upmarket trucks/SUV and apparently that makes them a more viable brand to keep around than Pontiac. Personally, I think they could have kept Pontiac alive if they quit the badge engineering bullshit. Buick vehicles sell really well in china surprisingly.

The 2010 G6 GT sedan was the best car ever! It had beautiful Hyper Silver 17' unlike those round spoke silver hideous rims on the Regal!! The G6 has a way better ride than any other sports sedan that GM makes (excluding Caddy). The Regal design was imported from Opel and just thrown together here in The U.S! The G6 was completely thought over and had a much better layout and body lines than then the ugly Regal! It kinda reminds me of the new 2013 Chevy Malbu, I own a 2LTZ and it is very similar!

That's weird. Here's a fun fact: In the Cadillac Seville's case (which is related to the Bonneville, LeSabre, and the Aurora.) I know the Seville was technically built on the G platform but with the 4th digit VIN GM still continued to refer to it as the K platform. I learned the LeSabre and Bonneville are the same way where they were built on the G but they continued to call it the H for the VIN. Plus you can tell its the G body looking at it. For example if you look at an 03 Aurora an 03 LeSabre and a 03 Bonneville at different angles the A, B, and even C pillars are identical to each other, which proves they must somehow be closely connected to a specific platform, which is the G body platform. I know it's weird they still called it the H platform according to the VIN (which I find very confusing) but they technically all share the G body platform. Nevertheless they are still all really nice cars.

***** Yeah, the 3800 V6 engine was put in cars all across GM's lineup. (Chevy Impala, Pontiac Grand Prix, Pontiac Bonneville, Buick LeSabre, Buick Century, Chevrolet Lumina, Chevrolet Monte Carlo, Oldmobile Intrigue, and a few others I'm sure) I just feel like it would make more sense for Pontiac's biggest sedan to get the V8 instead of sharing the same supercharged 3800 with the Grand Prix GTP. Pontiac's line up goes like this: Grand am (compact) came standard a 3.4 liter V6, Grand Prix (Midsize) got a 3.8 liter V6 or supercharged 3.8 V6, Bonneville got the same two engine options, supercharged or naturally aspirated 3.8 liter V6 engine. I may be looking at this too closely. It's nearly one in the damn morning and I'm researching cars... haha
