I had a Buick, a 1993 Skylark, the engine was great, but the automatic transmission broke down often, so in Russia we could have bought a new Priora.

First a Grand Prix, now a Bonneville from the same era, nice, thanks for giving these cars one last breath of life, Pontiac was a staple of my childhood, and the American automotive industry. That car could easily be put back on the road with some TLC, at least as a winter beater.

Those GM's from that era ate fuel pumps all the time. Probably what took it off the road. Headliners falling down was also standard equipment. Amazing one made it all the way to Estonia!

Back in '98, I had a white '86 Olds Delta 88, front-wheel drive. It looked small on the outside, as I had never driven one of these "down-sized" cars. I didn't expect much..but was pleasantly surprised! One thing that winter in Chicago, the streets were still unplowed, but THAT CAR was the only one able to navigate the sniw that came up just past the rocker panels. What an Awesome lil car! And even the inrerior was quite roomy..I"d sure buy another one, I miss those cars. Now I have a '98 Linvoln Towncar. Nice, but not quite the same, as I miss the cloth interior, and such a lrge-feeling small car, and quite "spirited! 👍

They all disappeared during the Cash For Clunkers program days, and a vast majority of people in America held onto their old 15+ year old cars until 2008 when they gave up.

If you had one of these in the early 2000s in Estonia. It would attract a lot of attention. I'm sure this vehicle would tell a lot of tales if it could. At least you saved it from being crushed or dismantled by some greedy scrap merchant.

I owned a 89 Bonnie and a 95. Cruz for hours 100mph. Enginydoesnt even get warm. Stays cool. Comfortable McPherson’s struts. Great comfortable touring suspension. 89 had a bench front seat. Like a small couch. Plenty of power to accelerate up any incline/hill.👍👍👍👍

American cars are like... everywhere in Europe? Because we don't have import restrictions like you have. We can basically import what ever we want. We only need to do some modifications, like red turnsignals are illegal here so we need to change rear turn sinals to amber. And some other things.

Iv seen one of these that ran on propane. That gm era with the 3.1l and 3.8l were great motors. They went well over 200k miles. Usually rust took the car before the engine died.

My younger sister had a 85 bonneville, 1995.neighbor next door sold it to her cheap..she,for whatever reason let it sit in street for months and months. Eventually honest made nest in it. She preferred drive my fathers 91 used low mileage saturn. I have a 98 Buick lesabre right now. its a similar engine to this engine,in vid.

Да уж... Классический американец, это вообще отдельная песня. Не сравнить ни с Европой, ни с Японией. Свой неповторимый шик, комфорт, надёжность . Но, к сожалению, в Европе дорого обходится эксплуатация, обслуживание, ремонт. Как игрушку для взрослого мужчины, ещё позволить можно. Но каждодневная эксплуатация такого классика оставит без трусов. Makes me miss my 1990. I drove it all the way up to 351,697 miles before the subframe rusted out. It was a great car. It makes me wonder about this ones history though. It is indeed an 87 model indicated by lack of "Bonneville" badges on the front doors. But it has the 3800 V6 as opposed to the "Red Dot" 3.8L V6, which had many differences. I wonder if a newer engine was swapped in at one point or if European sales got the 3800 V6 first? The 3800 was introduced in 1988 models here in the U.S.A.

Had a 78 Chevy Vega Monza with that engine. Rear wheel drive, so engine was not mounted transversely. Would burn rubber in 2nd gear.
